Each month Alzheimer’s Australia ACT invites a speaker with particular expertise to address an issue of importance for all workers caring for people with dementia. The Dementia Network seminars also provide opportunities for workers to come together and share their experiences with one another.

Orientation to dementia sessions

Alzheimer's Australia ACT delivers one-hour information sessions on dementia for residential care staff, community aged care staff and volunteers.

The sessions focus on understanding dementia, the stages of dementia and ways to effectively communicate and interact with people with dementia.
